  What an absolute gem. It must be one of the country's best-kept secrets. I urge you to make a visit. Staff very welcoming. Don't miss the tea-room for fantastic, fresh fare. Church and crypt well-worth a look, too.

  A nice place to visit, impressive ruined house, a great church and a tea place. Plus a majestic garden, a lake and miles of trails. Sounds like a good way to spend the afternoon. Unfortunately the last mile of road is terrible and finding the parking is a mystery on it's own.
